He put in his application, for a job he thought he’d like,
The job had things he wanted, and something felt just right.
He dressed in his best clothes, and polished up his shoes,
And travelled to the place, for his job interview.
He was told about the job, and all its benefits,
as he sat there and listened, thinking, “Wow, I must have this!”
He told the interviewer, “I like what I do hear,
and if you hire me on, I’ll do well, have no fear.”
The interviewer smiled and said, “One more thing you should know,
To have this awesome job, you must give up control.”
The joy left the man’s face, for that he couldn’t do,
and he sadly stood to go, and walked out of the room…
