With the grass full and green and flowers blooming bright, we are happy to have everyone back from their winter travels. Our cold northern weather sends many of our brothers and sisters to Florida through early spring. The warm weather has returned to Michigan and it’s wonderful to have everyone back together.
Our children’s Sunday School groups have been learning about God’s word each week in their classes. The younger classes have been sharing new songs during
church and reenacting stories from God’s word. The older group has been learning about the history of the restored Church of Christ. They recently led the adult Sunday School class, asking questions and quizzing the older ones on their knowledge of the early Church of Christ history.
A special couple in our congregation is reaching a beautiful milestone this summer. On August 21st, Jay and Evelyn Lee will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. Family and friends will have the opportunity to celebrate with them at the church on Sunday, August 19th.
Our local has also welcomed a new baby to our congregation. On March 21, 2018, Autumn Evelyn Lee was born to Jordan and Emily Lee.
Sadly, one of our dear friends, David Sans, passed away on June 9, 2018. He and his wife, Lynn, have been attending our local. We were excited to celebrate with them as they joined together in marriage on March 21, 2018. It was a blessing to the congregation to have the time of fellowship that we did with David, and he will be greatly missed.
